Our Mission

Sea Cadets

As all Cadet Corps participate in an Annual Review at the end of their year (Sep - Jun).  This is to demonstrate what they have achieved during this training period mainly to their parents, however there are other guests as well. This year this included an Admiral from the Royal Canadian Navy, Pacific Fleet.

On reveiw day the Cadets conduct one last practice and then break for lunch, to this we at the Comox Legion some years ago started a tradition of preparing lunch for the Cadets and staff of the Cadet Corps. BBQ'd burgers are on the menu and a somewhat special  "combo-burger". Created by none other than Joanne Penny, these burgers were received very well by the Cadets. Also in attendance is Erni Stephanic, Stu McKinnion and John Paulin. As the events moved on a presentation of $1000.00 was made by Stu McKinnon Youth Chairman to Ruth Dicus, President of Comox Valley Branch of the Navy League. "Medal of Excellence" was presented to a most worthy Cadet, PO Furguson by John Paulin, Past President.

2023 Gaming Fund Donations

On February 7, 2024, the Comox Legion Branch 160 welcomed the community supporters to help members donate $30,000 to various local community organizations across the Comox Valley.

The money was raised by volunteers who host a 50/50 and meat draw on Friday and Saturdays at the Beaufort Avenue Pub. The legion is looking for people to help get involved with this and other events in order to raise money for the community and are also looking for more local organizations who want to collaborate to host events in the future.

A huge thank you to our volunteers!
